Fit:
Measurement Charts are of flat garments and can be deceiving. We work hard to have a consistent Medium fit model and often double check our production 2XL piece on our 2XL fit model as well to make sure you can normally stick to the same size in our garments.
This piece is intended to be fitted over the bust and waist, and our shells tend to have decent stretch in them. So if you tend to order our mediums you can still order mediums, or some people prefer to size down.
For the art on this we don't recommend sizing down due to the empire waist art detail (which is knit in detail, but can shift upwards as a piece is stretched more which happens when sizing down). The size chart on this shell is confusing as what is normally our Medium is now a Small because we don't want this shell over stretching and shifting the art upwards.
Also, we include model measurements in all descriptions. We break the model info down in order of their appearance in photos. You can also search by keywords in the title to find other similar garments that may have even other models in photos!
Kat is modeling the Sample Large. She tends to wear Medium to Larges in our pieces but due to the art placement on this (she has a lovely chest) we recommend she gets the Large. That doesn't mean you should size up, but she fluctuates between sizes and if you also fluctuate then go to the higher of the 2 sizes! Most of our shells when they stretch the shortening of the shell that happens doesn't change the art too much, but since this is stretching more around her bust it shifts the empire waist art up a bit too much. She still fit in the medium just fine, but the art crept up to her under boob instead of sitting on her under bust. If you are busty and that tends to throw you between sizes go up rather than down for best art placement! Kat has a 34DD Chest with a 39" Bust, 30” Waist, 46” Hip, and is 5’4”. Care:
We have tested this sweater in the wash on cold water, and it comes out fine. Do NOT put it in the dryer; dry flat!
This piece has a tight knit due to the lycra, though it is still possible to snag. But it's simple to fix with a Snag Repair Tool, which you can buy on Amazon or possibly buy in your local sewing store. This repair tool is easy to use, but there's a great tutorial video if you want help!
